Installation & Safety Guide

macOS Installation

  • 1. Move to Applications Open the downloaded .dmg and drag the MacDroidBridge icon to your Applications folder.
  • 2. Gatekeeper Security Since this app is independently developed, macOS may show a "Unidentified Developer" warning. This is safe. Right-click the app and select Open, or go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway".
  • 3. Privacy Permissions Grant Notification access when prompted. For Remote Control features, enable Accessibility in your Mac's Privacy settings.

🤖 Android Installation

  • 1. Sideload APK Open the .apk on your device. You may need to "Allow installation from unknown sources" in your browser settings.
  • 2. Play Protect Bypass Android might flag the APK as an unknown app. Tap "Install anyway". MacDroidBridge is a local-only tool; it does not track you or send data to the cloud.
  • 3. Notification Access Inside the app, tap "Grant Notification Access" and enable the toggle for MacDroidBridge to allow mirroring to your Mac.

Final Step: Establish the Bridge

Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Launch the Mac app (look for the bell icon in your menu bar) to find your Local IP Address. Enter this IP into your Android app and hit Save & Connect.
